Moore Biological is launching with one focused service: faecal egg count testing, supported by clear reporting and a connected history for your animals and properties.
Faecal egg count testing.
A faecal egg count (FEC) is a laboratory count of parasite eggs or oocysts observed in a manure sample. Moore Biological initially uses the McMaster method, with the recorded count converted and reported using the active method profile for that result.
The service is being developed for sheep, cattle, alpacas, goats, horses, llamas and pigs. Before submitting a sample, please confirm the current collection, packaging and delivery instructions with the laboratory.
What you receive
More than a number in an email.
Each released result is kept with its sample details, recorded method, laboratory result and report history in your customer portal. Where microscope images are recorded, they remain with the result as visual evidence of the laboratory observation.
Results that stay connected.
A single count is a snapshot. Keeping results together over time can make it easier to review records by animal, mob or property, and to take useful questions into discussions with your veterinarian.
The portal is designed to keep issued reports, microscope evidence and recorded treatment history in one place, so past information is available when you need to refer back to it.
